Cooking with Cathy and Caleb! Gluten Free Bars

Gluten Free 5 Ingredient Oatmeal Bars


We had a great time doing this video for the blog! Hope you enjoy watching it as much as we did making it!


Here is the recipe to go with the video:


1 1/2 cups GF Oatmeal - roasted in 350 degree oven for 15 minutes. Be sure the package is labeled GF! This means the manufacturer took precautions and ensures no gluten present.

1 cup roasted walnuts - any nut will do, but be sure and roast in non-stick pan on the stove top or in the oven to bring out that nutty flavor!

1 cup pitted dates - blended in food processor to a chunky paste

1/4 cup smooth, unsalted, no added sugar peanut butter

1/4 cup honey


Microwave the peanut butter and honey 30 seconds to combine to a more liquid state.


Mix all ingredients together by hand (as Caleb demonstrates!) and press into an 8X8 pan. Chill 10 minutes in the fridge and cut into 12 pieces. Enjoy! Our first batch lasted about 5 minutes!
