Best Book EVER for Cooks - or aspiring cooks and foodies! And not really a cookbook.

Now that you probably have a little extra time to explore the world of cooking, I want to share with you a GEM of a find! Samin Nosrat is a genius! She has deciphered cooking expertise into three four letter words (and one three letter), and wrote a book about it! This book has been out since 2017 but I just discovered it thanks to our son Evan recommending a Netflix docuseries by Samin of the same name, knowing I'm one obsessed with food.

Salt Fat Acid Heat revolutionizes how we think about cooking! Samin demonstrates (and Wendy illustrates!) how each of these elements effects our food. In her docuseries she explores each element across the world with a wonderful array of inspiring, talented, and beautiful cooks.


For sure check out the Netflix series. I would watch a segment then read the corresponding section in her book. Made the content very impactful.


You will never look at a recipe the same again! Or may no longer need one.
